Medium Partner Program enrollment status

You can review your current enrollment status at any time in your Partner Program dashboard.

Active

Your enrollment status is active when you meet all Partner Program eligibility requirements, have successfully enrolled, and have completed your payout settings — including a connected Stripe account and valid taxpayer information.

Inactive

Your enrollment status becomes inactive in either of the following situations:

• You leave the Partner Program voluntarily.
• Your payout settings are incomplete and your Partner Program balance is $10 USD or more — and both conditions persist for 30 consecutive days.

When your status is inactive, your stories are removed from the paywall and become available to all readers. Stories will no longer accrue earnings, and any accumulated balance may be forfeited if not claimed before the deadline. See the Partner Program forfeiture policy for details.

Recovering your balance before the forfeiture deadline

The steps to recover your balance depend on your current status.

If your status is inactive:

1. Meet all eligibility requirements and re-enroll in the Partner Program.
2. Complete your payout settings (Stripe account and taxpayer information).

Your balance will only be paid out if it meets the $10 USD minimum threshold. If it does not, re-enroll and maintain an active status to continue accruing earnings until the threshold is reached.

If your status is active but at risk of becoming inactive:

Complete your payout settings before the listed deadline by connecting a Stripe account and submitting your taxpayer information. No re-enrollment is needed.
