If you are currently or have previously been part of the Partner Program, you can access the Partner Program earnings tab. This page shows you your earnings for your eligible stories that have accrued in a specific time period. It is split into different sections: Overview, Earnings summary, Earnings by story, and the sidebar that includes your Partner Program status, Payout settings, Rollover balance (if available), and Quick links.
- To access your Stats, click on the menu icon in the top left corner to open the sidebar.
- Click on Stats.
- Then go to the Partner Program earnings tab or go to https://medium.com/me/partner/dashboard.
- To access your Stats, tap on your profile picture in the bottom right corner.
- Tap View Stats.
- Then tap on the Partner Program earnings tab.
Note: The Partner Program earnings tab does not have a native view on the app yet, and you will be directed to a web view instead.
Overview
In the Overview tab of the dashboard, you can select the month to review. The pill-shaped select will also show the earnings accrued in that specific month.
Earnings summary
Your earnings summary displays a dynamic breakdown of your earnings for the month. Earnings are updated daily and can take up to 48 hours to be finalized.
If you had referrals in the past, you can see the breakdown in this section as well, but please note that this program ended in 2024.
In this section, you can also access your Payout history. By clicking View Payout history, you can access a page showing previous payouts sent to your connected Stripe account, along with their status, and tax withholding and Stripe fees breakdown (where applicable).
This information is typically updated around the 10th of each month. Payouts may take 5-7 business days to appear in your bank account. Earnings are non-binding.
Earnings by story
The earnings by story section show any stories that have accrued any earnings in the selected month. Click “View story” to access the story, or click on the story title to review its stats and see how much the story has earned since it was placed behind the paywall.
Sidebar
In the sidebar, you can find additional sections and resources.
The first block shows you the current status of your Partner Program enrollment. If any action is required on your account, you will see it here as well.
The Payout settings menu allows you to access your taxpayer and Stripe account information. If you need to update your taxpayer information or there’s any issue with your Stripe account, you will see a warning prompting you to access the settings page to correct the error.
The Rollover balance shows your accrued but unpaid earnings. You need to reach a minimum of $10 before the payout is processed. This section is updated monthly, typically around the 10th, when the payout process begins. It is only visible when you have unpaid earnings.
You might notice a difference between the amount you earned and what you receive as payment. This is because the rollover balance does not account for tax withholdings or Stripe fees you may have. You can see the details in the Payout history, as mentioned earlier.
The Quick links section highlights some resources in this Help Center and gives you access to the option to leave the Partner Program.
