The payout history tab on your Partner Program dashboard shows the current status of each payout. This article explains what each state means and what action, if any, is required.
- Transferred — Your payout has been successfully sent to your connected Stripe account. No action required.
- Pending — Your payout is being processed. The status will update once the transfer is complete. No action required.
- On hold — Your payout cannot be processed due to incomplete payout settings. To receive your payout, ensure that your Stripe account and taxpayer information are updated.

Failed — Your payout was unsuccessful. The error message shown will indicate the next steps:
- "There was an issue completing this payout. Please contact Stripe to resolve the issue." There is an issue with your Stripe account. Contact Stripe Support to resolve it before the next payout period.
- "There was an issue completing this payout." There is an issue on Medium's end that we are looking into. Contact Medium Support if you have any questions.
- Forfeited — Your payout was forfeited because your payout settings were not completed within 180 days. See the Partner Program forfeiture policy for more details.
- Reversed — Your payout was returned to Medium at your request. No action required.
