If you'd prefer not to see content from a particular user on Medium, you can block them.
How to block a user
You can go to that user's profile page, click on the down arrow next to their "Follow" button, and choose "Block this user."

You can also block a user directly from any story page they have written. Scroll to the bottom of the page, and click on the "..." icon, and then click "Block this user" from the drop-down menu which appears:

What happens when you block someone
After you click on "Block this user," a confirmation screen will apear:

When you choose to block another user, not only will their stories be removed from your homepage, but they will also no longer be able to follow you or view your content while logged in. When a blocked user visits your profile, however, they’ll see a message letting them know that they’ve been blocked.

Blocked users can’t leave notes on, recommend, or otherwise interact with your content. They will be able to @mention you, but you will not be notified.
When you block a user, you will not be able to follow them, but you will still be able to view their profile page and read their posts.
If you block the author of a response to one of your stories, their response will not be linked or visible publicly from anywhere on your post for anyone. It will still appear on the blocked user’s profile page with a link back to your post, and be available in search and other lists on Medium.
Managing blocked accounts
You can see and modify all the accounts you have blocked from your settings page.
You can also go to an individual author's profile page and click on the red "Blocked" button to unblock them:

Abuse & Harassment
In addition to blocking a user, you also have the option to report a story if you find it to be abusive, harassing, or otherwise a violation of our community guidelines. Should you have a conflict with another user which cannot be resolved simply by blocking their account or reporting their story, please contact us right away at yourfriends@medium.com. We want Medium to be a safe, welcoming place for people to express themselves in a positive way.
