Will I still earn money if I don't add my taxpayer information?

If you haven’t entered your taxpayer information within 28 days of the first week you earn through the Partner Program (starting October 29, 2018), you will stop accumulating new earnings for your posts. You will still be able to receive your total earnings once you complete the form, as we will hold all your earnings for up to 180 days. Here’s a more detailed timeline:

  • First week earning: Your Partner Program stories can accumulate “withheld earnings.” This means that you won’t receive payments at the end of the month until your tax information is successfully verified, at which point you will receive all prior withheld earnings.
  • Earning limit date (28 days after the Sunday of your first week earning): Your stories will no longer accumulate new withheld earnings. Once your tax information is successfully verified, you will receive all prior withheld earnings and your stories can begin earning again.
  • Forfeiture date (180 days after the Sunday of your first week earning): You can no longer receive payment for prior withheld earnings. Once your tax information is successfully verified, your stories can begin earning again and you will receive payments for those new earnings.
