The Partner Program earnings dashboard gives you a full view of your story earnings, payout history, and account status. It is available to all current and former Partner Program members.
How to access the dashboard
- Click the menu icon in the top left corner to open the sidebar.
- Click Stats.
- Go to the Partner Program earnings tab, or navigate directly to medium.com/me/partner/dashboard.
- Tap your avatar in the bottom right corner.
- Access settings by tapping the gear icon in the top right corner.
- Tap Story stats.
- Select the Partner Program earnings tab.
Overview
The Overview section lets you select which month to review. The month selector also displays total earnings accrued during that period.
Earnings summary
The Earnings summary provides a detailed breakdown of your earnings for the selected month. Earnings are updated daily and may take up to 48 hours to be finalized.
This section also includes:
- Referral earnings — If you participated in the referral program in the past, your referral breakdown will appear here. Note that this program ended in 2024.
- Payout history — Click View payout history to see previous payouts sent to your Stripe account, including their status and any applicable tax withholding and Stripe fee breakdowns.
Payout history is typically updated around the 10th of each month. Payouts may take 5–7 business days to appear in your bank account. Earnings are non-binding.
Earnings by story
This section lists all stories that accrued earnings in the selected month. From here you can:
- Click View story to open the story.
- Click the story title to review its stats and see total earnings since it was placed behind the paywall.
Sidebar
The sidebar provides additional account information and settings.
- Partner Program status — Shows your current enrollment status. If any action is required on your account, a notice will appear here.
- Payout settings — Gives you access to your Stripe account and taxpayer information. If there is an issue with either, a warning will prompt you to visit the settings page to resolve it.
- Rollover balance — Displays your accrued but unpaid earnings. A minimum balance of $10 is required before a payout is processed. This section is only visible when you have unpaid earnings and is updated around the 10th of each month.
The amount paid out may be lower than your total earnings, as the rollover balance does not account for tax withholdings or Stripe fees. You can review these deductions in your Payout history.
