Do writers know who Boosted their story?
No. At this time, all Boosts are anonymous. Boosts can come from our internal curation team or Boost Nomination Program participants – either way, the writer doesn’t see who nominated or Boosted the story.
Can I talk about my participation in the Boost Nomination Program?
Absolutely, although we discourage you from deep-diving into process specifics. Since this is a dynamic program, things can change. We’d like to avoid too much conflicting information flying around.
Do I have to tell people I’m in the Boost Nomination Program?
No, although eventually, publications that have nominators as editors will be shown publicly as nominating publications.
How should I talk about the Boost Nomination Program on my publication’s submission page?
Your submission page is a powerful opportunity to talk about your involvement as a nominator, to help you recruit new writers. We suggest using extreme caution if your submission page has any reference to donations, paid offerings, Kofi, etc. Some writers interpret things negatively if you combine talking about nominating with encouraging people to financially support your publication. It’s not a good look for you as a publisher, and can potentially lead to your removal from the program.
