Publication stats

The publication stats show you an aggregated view of all stories accepted into the publication, along with lifetime details for each one.

Web App
  1. Go to your publication homepage.
  2. Click on the Manage publication menu.
  3. Click Stats.

The dashboard is split into two sections: Monthly and Lifetime.

Monthly

In Monthly, you can view an aggregate of the different stats for a specific month, along with a graph displaying the number of views and reads per day.

  • Views: How many times readers have accessed your stories. For a view to be counted, the reader has to stay on the story for at least 5 seconds, as we account for bouncing. If your stories have significant external traffic, views may be higher than presentations.
  • Reads: How many times readers have read your story for at least 30 seconds.

All metrics are unique, meaning they are deduplicated.

Monthly stats are updated daily. To review previous months, click the pill-shaped select at the top right corner of this section and select the month you want to review. You will be able to review your publication’s stats going back to January 2023.

Lifetime

The Lifetime section lists all accepted stories along with some metrics: presentations (not available for stories published before 2025), views, and reads.

These are lifetime metrics, meaning they show the total number of presentations, views, and reads the story has received since it was published.

The Lifetime section is updated hourly for stories during the first month after publishing. For stories published more than a month ago, this section is updated daily. The list of stories is sortable by views, reads, and lifetime earnings by clicking on the pill-shaped select on the top right corner of the section and selecting the preferred order option.

The main difference between this page and the general stats is that the earnings details are not shown.

By clicking on the story, you can access its detailed stats page for additional information, except for earnings details.

Earnings details are only visible to the author of the story.
