About group gifting
We offer the ability to purchase a minimum of 11 non-recurring annual gift Memberships using a credit card, PayPal, Google Pay, or Apple Pay (if you are using Safari).
At this time, we are not offering any discounts on group Membership purchases. The price of each one-year gift membership for a single user is $50.
To purchase group gifts, we require you to first create a Medium account. If you would like to take advantage of group gifting, please let us know by submitting a support request.
Upon receiving your support request, we will enable group gifting on your Medium account.
Once we enable group Gifting on your Medium account, you will be able to purchase a minimum of 11 annual non-recurring Gift Memberships using a credit card, PayPal, Google Pay, or Apple Pay (if you are using Safari): medium.com/group-gift.
When you do, the following will happen:
- Upon completion of the purchase, you will be taken to a confirmation screen with your gift Membership code and a link to the redemption page.
- You will also receive an email with the same information as the confirmation page to the email address associated with your Medium account.
- You can then send out the gift Membership code and a link to the redemption page to your recipients: medium.com/redeem-gift.
- You alone need to share that code and link with all your recipients. Medium will not automate any communications to your recipients. You need to do that off of Medium.
- If your recipients do not yet have Medium accounts, they will be prompted to create one first. Upon creation of their Medium accounts, they can go to medium.com/redeem-gift and redeem the code. Additionally, if they already have Memberships, they will not be able to redeem the gift code.
- The Membership code will be active for the number of gift Memberships you have purchased and will then become invalid. Please take care to protect this code, and treat it as currency.

A receipt of your gift transaction will be available in your Billing History via your Medium settings page.
