When you publish a story on Medium, your story in addition to immediately being available for anyone to read on your profile page and distributed to your followers, can also be further distributed around the Medium network via the recommendation algorithm via the web, mobile apps, and the Medium email digest to other people as well. You can always check if your story has been further distributed in your stats. Follow the steps below to check your story's distribution status.
- On your homepage, click on your profile picture.
- Click Stats.
- Scroll down to the story that you want to check the distribution status for and click Details.
- On your story's detailed stats page, look for Chosen for further distribution displayed underneath the story's title. If you do not see that label, it means that the story has not been distributed further.
- In the app, tap your profile picture on the bottom bar.
- Tap the three-dot button in the top-right corner.
- Tap Stats.
- Tap the story that you want to check the distribution status for.
- On your story's detailed stats page, look for Chosen for further distribution displayed underneath the story's title. If you do not see that label, it means that the story has not been distributed further.
